Historical City Ibiza or Vila (Dalt village). Surrounded by Renaissance walls, it since 1999 UNESCO historical heritage.
The Archaeological Museum and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows are one of the most visited places in Ibiza.
San Carlos – Hippi Market Las Dalias
Ibiza has two hippie markets, the Punta Arabi, the very touristic and the Las Dalias, in San Carlos. We love it Las Dalias!!
Las Dalias has fashionable clothes and crafts, which you only will find in Ibiza. Our favorite is Flor da Vida(@flordevidaibiza). The accessories are very modern, original, and clothing incredible!
Live music, two bars and one restaurant makes the atmosphere at Las Dalias very relaxed and cozy.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, from June to September, the evening market, starts at 7 pm. Saturdays, the Hippy Market is open during the day.
The Namastê is a super special party, happens on Wednesdays and celebrated 21 years of existence in 2018. It’s started with a big Hippie community and their’s families, celebrating life and today is part of the official party’s calendar of Ibiza. After all these years, it keeps the organic and alternative spirit.
Namastê was our mandatory Wednesday Party!!! WE LOVE this place!
Admission is free from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, after the tickets cost €20 per adult. Don’t miss it ART & Pancakes: Activities for children with art crafts.
Beaches in Ibiza
Ibiza has 50 beaches and Calas, which are smaller beaches, for all tribes and one more beautiful than others! Not to mention Formentera, the neighboring Paradise Island that still maintains the atmosphere that was Ibiza 30 years ago.
The best time to visit Ibiza is between April and September, the months of July and August, during the European summer, are usually sweltering.
The best beaches for family
Our favorite beach is Cala Llenya, near to our resort.
For families: Es Canar is beautiful, perfect for families, and offers a train tour to the kids!!
Cala Llenya: Quiet sea and surrounded by a pine forest, with a kiosk and public toilet.
To combine with a visit to the city
Santa Eulália Beach: white sand beach and great for sightseeing in the center and on the boardwalk at night. From here you can take the Ferry to Formentera and the port of Ibiza.
Playa Figueretas: Beautiful and close to the historic city of Ibiza, offers several restaurants and bars.
For party lovers
Playa d’en Bossa: The largest beach in Ibiza, 2.7 km with Beach Clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels such as Ushuaia and Hard Rock.

As Ibiza is enormous and there are many things to do, a good tip in Ibiza is renting a car. Per day, an economic model costs around €40; we didn’t rent it (#fail), and we end up spending a lot with taxis!
Formentera is considered one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean Sea. And the smallest of the Balearic Islands used to be produced salt and today has tourism as its main activity. The marine algae “Posidonia,” eliminates all impurities in the water, so the special cristal clean on this area of the Mediterranean Sea.
The island has a long history; archaeological evidence proves that the island, colonized 4,000 years ago. In 200 B.C. the Romans built a port near the beach of Es Caló, which can still be visited.
Madonna, Bob Dylan, and Leonardo DiCaprio have been seen in Formentera for vacation and also tourists like us, looking for a peaceful and quiet place. In June, don’t miss the “Formentera Jazz Festival.”
We’ve been on two alternate days in Formentera. Once we went by bus and boat at our own risk, and another we took a tour of our resort, an exciting catamaran day trip, aboard the Formentera Star (€76 per adult).
You can board on the Ferry every 30 min to Formentera. The trip to Formentera lasts half-hour. The fastest Ferry, usually more expensive takes only 10 min longer than the regular.
Remembering that once you arrive at the port of La Savina, you can rent a car, Vespa or go by bus to the beaches. In our case, we indicated to go by bus to the shore of Es Caló; the trip lasted about 15 min.
Beaches in Formentera
The best beaches of Formentera, we discovered during the catamaran tour, S’espalmador and Ses Ilhetes – Stars and famous yachts from around the world anchor here.
Another way to explore Formentera is by renting a private boat, leaving from Ibiza, including those that are powered by solar energy. Prices from €100 per person at La Bella Verde (link here)
A curiosity about S’espalmador: The island was sold many years ago by a value equivalent to €250! Today it belongs to a family of Luxembourg and was bought by the amount of 18 million Euros. The island is World Natural heritage.
Scuba Diving in Ibiza
Andreas, my husband, loves to dive and did scuba diving twice in Ibiza: The most beautiful was in shipwrecked lighthouse near the coast.
Conclusion: Some places unfortunately have to wait for our next visit, like Café del Mar, one of the most famous places in Sant Antoni. Another place I wanted to go, is Es Vedrá island, the third most magnetic point in the world, just after the North Pole and the Bermuda Triangle. Ibiza is a magical place, and we will return!!! Now we are also Ibiza lovers =)
