Museum of the Swiss Army Knife – Victorinox
A great tip if you are doing a boat trip or a day trip from Lucerne, is the Swiss Knife Valley – Victorinox in Brunnen. There you will find the Visitor Center, divided into three parts: the Swiss Army Knife Museum, Victorinox Brand Store, and Interactive Exhibition.
One hundred thirty years of history of the brand founded by Karl Elsener in 1884, curiosities about the most famous swiss knife on the world, testimonials, and much more. Interesting to see how swiss knives saved lives!
Victorinox Brand Store
All kinds of swiss knives are available here!! I bought a toy pocketknife for my son, which can be used in picnics, so cute!!! You can also find watches, perfumes, suitcases,and kitchen items. Insider tip: Victorinox produces one of the best kitchen knives in Switzerland!
Victorinox Visitor Center
On the 365m² Visitor Center, you will find a shop with regional products, hiking tips, Felchlin (local producer) chocolate tasting, a film about the Victorinox production.
Customize your own Victorinox Swiss Army Knife!!
For adults and children from 8 years old, it is possible to customize your own classic Spartan model pocketknife, developed by the brand creator and personalize with your name. This 27-piece base model was patented in 1897! It is explained to the children how to handle the knife safely, especially when opening and closing the blades. You need to schedule a timetable and cost CHF 35.-(includes engraving). Available in English, German, Italian, and French.
The visit takes approximately 1:30m, which can be combined with a visit at the factory store of Chocolates Felchlin, in Ibach, canton Schwyz. Easy access by train (station Brunnen, Canton Schwyz), by car A4 Road towards Gothard/Schwyz or by boat trip from Lucerne.

On Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sundays, holidays and Mondays closed.
Admission is free. Your own pocketknife costs CHF 35.-You must schedule an appointment in advance.
