Although Mount Titlis can be overcrowded with tourists, it is still worth to visit this mountain in Engelberg (Angel Mountain in German). Mount Titlis offers so many attractions and things to do, for sure you and your family will have fun!!
How to get there
From Lucerne, the train trip to Engelberg takes about one hour. From the train station, walk 10 min. to the main entrance. By car, the trip takes around 45 min driving from Lucerne. The trip to Engelberg itself is beautiful! You will pass by the Mount Pilatus, Stansenhorn, and the landscape arriving in Engelberg is amazing! Free bus shuttle in Engelberg village.
From Engelberg, take the Xpress cable car up to Trübsee middle station. You can drop off/on at the Trübsee Lake, or go up with the Titlis Rotair to the summit station (3,020 meters above sea level).
The Titlis Rotair is unique and turns 360º during the trip!

Stotzig Egg Hike trail
More than 3.000 m of ascending slopes and family fun for sure! Don’t forget to use security equipment such a helm, and to follow the safety instructions! From December to March, Fridays and Saturdays evening special Tobogganing during evenings!!! Can be combined with Cheese Fondue 🙂
There are several family attractions here, like the Schmüggli’s Kids Playground Area, Restaurant, Zipline Flyer, Kayaking on Trübsee Lake, and much more. The Schmüggli’s Trail and Playground can be easily made with all ages children and takes about 30 minutes around the Trübsee Lake. There are different points where children can play and learn about the history of Schmüggli. The trail and the playground was open in 2019, and it is from Mai to Oktober for all families available. Note that at the end of the trail, you can do it some barbecue and enjoy the view!
